Types of HVAC Systems

We install and service all major brands of HVAC systems. Before you can decide which HVAC system is right for you it's a good idea to know the different types you can choose from.

Heating and Air Conditioning Split Systems

Split systems are the most well known of the heating and air conditioning systems. These systems are what people think of when they think HVAC system. The components of the whole system are both inside and outside the building. Features of HVAC split systems include:

  • Air conditioner that cools the refrigerant
  • Furnaces and a fan or evaporator coil to convert the refrigerant and circulate air
  • Ducts that carry air throughout your building or home
  • A thermostat to manage the system
  • Optional accessories may include air cleaners, purifiers, humidifiers, UV lamps
Hybrid Heat Split System

The hybrid heat split system is an advanced version of the classic split system that has improved energy efficiency. When a heat pump is included in these systems it will allow the option of having an electrically fueled HVAC above the typical gas furnaces. A good hybrid heat split system will include:

  • Heat pump that heats or cools the refrigerant
  • Furnaces plus the evaporator coil for conversion of the refrigerant and air circulation
  • Ducts to channel air throughout your home or building
  • A thermostat to manage the system
  • Optional accessories for indoor air quality control
Duct-Free Split Heating & Air Conditioning System

A duct-free HVAC provides an installation for areas where the convectional systems with ducts can't go. These systems are great compliments to existing ducted types of HVAC systems. Duct-free systems will include:

  • A heat pump or air conditioner to heat/cool the refrigerant
  • A compact fan coil
  • Tubing and wires for the refrigerant, connecting the outdoor unit to the fan coil
  • Thermostat control panel
  • Optional clean air accessories
Packaged Heating & Air Conditioning System

Packaged HVAC systems are great solutions to homes and offices without adequate spaces for all the separate multiple components of split systems. These systems work in confined spaces that range from entire homes to one-room units. Packaged HVAC systems include:

  • The air conditioner/heat pump together with the evaporator/fan coil in one unit
  • Thermostat control panel
  • Optional air quality accessories
